Celebrating our 10 year anniversary

They say, "Good things come to those who wait..."

Eric and I have been dating for a long time and was talking about getting marry in 2011. But with another family getting marry that year, it seem less ideal with all the craziness and everyone's schedule. So everything just seems to work out perfectly and we were got marry on our 10 year anniversary.

We did a destination wedding...as I am uncomfortable with big crowds and prefer something small and intimate. Another motivation was our parents have never travel anywhere, beside to their homeland. So we really wanted to treat them to a vacation fully paid by us, as a thank you for their love and hard work raising us all these years.

Destination: Puerto Aventuras Dreams Resorts and Spa

Destination Wedding Invitations - DIY

For our destination wedding I end up with airmail design. It took me a while to figure out what style I was inspiring me more...because everytime you look at something on Pinterest, something else pops up that is just as beautiful. In the end, I design, cut and packaged it all myself. Oh Eric gave feedback...which most of the time is veto. haha. I LOVE IT.

I love the paper airplane. I was thinking of using an airplane graphic since our families are flying to our wedding, but the paper airplane gave it a fun touch.

The envelop lining is a map of Mexico...which I found, aged it a bit in Photoshop. I didn't want it to be an exact outline of Mexico...I wanted it a bit more abstract. So the map is rotated or zoomed, so that it creates interesting lines and text...and it looks a bit more vintage which I love.

Laotian Wedding Ceremony

One of our 3 wedding (yes, three!!)... is the Laotian Wedding ceremony. Luckily a lot of the stuff was done before hand...(no last min!) so I had a restful sleep the night before and the day was stress free. We had a blast!!

Bridal Shower

An all DIY event. It was definitely a lot of work but I started working on all of the elements months in advance...I hate doing last minute stuff. It turned out really lovely and I am very happy and please with the results. Very blessed that my fiancé helped setup, take pictures, and cleanup afterwards. He's one super nice guy :) . And I had so many lovely friends and sisters that helped me with the overall event. I love and appreciate you all!!! Pictures taken by me, my fiancé and my friend My :)

Bridal Shower Invitations: Vintage Princess

I had a lot of fun designing the bridal shower invite. Because I get to do what I WANT. And put my touch of girlie-ness that I've been wanting to put on SOMETHING. Designed in Illustrator and it helped a lot of finding free vector graphics to work with. Some I wasn't able to find the original eps file...so I had to trace it (such as the female silhouette.

Created my own envelope liners. I thought it was going to be pretty tough, but realized it's simply copying the shape of the envelope but reducing it by .5inch.
